The Results Are In!

Mrs. Paul and Mrs. Denmark announced the winners of the Turkle Drawing Contest in November 2011. Congratulations to Hannah, Eden and Katelin!

"Mr. Turtle was walking down the road when a turkey came flying past quickly. Mr. Turtle called out, 'Hey, watch it!' The turkey heard him. He stopped dead in his tracks and spun around. 'Sorrydidn'tseeyouthere...' he raved about how the hunters were chasing him and so on, to the point where you couldn't understand him.

'Wo, wo, woo, calm down dude, the hunters might hear y..' He stopped suddenly when there was a noise behind him. Mr. Turtle turned around slowly to find himself face to face with a hunter. Mr. Turtle quickly stuck his head inside his shell but he kept his feet out, later ended up saving ther lives. The men screamed like little school girls and ran. The turkey's eyes widened with surprise.He looked down to thank Mr. Turtle. 'Mr. Turtle, thanks for saving my life.'

The turkey soon learned that Mr. Turtle's legs saved his life because the hunters thought they were a turkle. In addition Mr. Turtle and the turkey, whose name is Terry, made a business called Turkle."
